Matera is one of the oldest cities in the world, the district called ‘sassi’ is now a Unesco World Heritage Site. Matera is much more, it is also the city of Lesser Kestrel, of the Black Stork, of the Egyptian Vulture, and it is immersed in the Murgia Materana Park, an area containing important protected habitats.

We will visit the Murgia Materana Park, searching for the Black-eared Wheatear (pic.), European Roller, Black Stork, Rock Sparrow.
