Tuscany is that region where nature has gone wild, juxtaposing marvelous hills of iridescent color and indescribable scents, green and sometimes snow-capped mountains, all the way to the sea, past rivers, lakes and lagoons. Tuscany offers so many opportunities to tell us so many stories, including about our favorite winged species. On this page you will find everything you need to know
A day spent in the Orbetello Lagoon is always a special day, especially for those looking for ornithological observations. During the migration period, in spring or autumn, many birds stop in the vast wetland area of the Orbetello Lagoon, which they find along their migratory routes.
Among the green, clay hills that characterize the Crete Senesi and Val D'Orcia in springtime, bee-eaters, sea jays, short-toed eagles and many species of passerines fly. You can visit Pienza, San Quirico, Chiusure and other wonders.
We ascend the Apuan Alps, a mountain range that rises above the region's northern coast, a treasure trove of biodiversity that is very important geologically, scenically, and naturalistically.
My passion fueled my curiosity and together with determination and respect for nature, I managed to become one of the first women to practice birdwatching professionally. I strongly believe in enhancing natural environments and I know how nature is everywhere around us, we just need to train our senses to be able to recognize it better. Would you like to go on a nature discovery trip with me?
Birdstories will be your safe space: diversity and inclusion are celebrated and no form of discrimination will ever be accepted or tolerated
Each itinerary can be customised to be accessible for everybody: this allows anyone to participate and enjoy the joy of a birding and a nature experience.
I personally know the itineraries, I propose and I create them to pass on all my love for the region, promoting places and people who care about the environment.
Tuscany is my home region, and I can admit that I have never taken it for granted. Often habit leads us to fail to notice the wonder of our surroundings, yet I never got used to so much biodiversity and spectacular nature. Maybe it's because of this and maybe it's because Tuscany's biodiversity truly offers so much, I have identified so many sceneries for every taste: from hills to lagoons, from forests to nature reserves. If Tuscany fascinates you, here's one more reason to decide to set out with me to discover every special detail.
